I am at the end of my 6th month of pregnancy now and started the quilt for our baby's crib this week - I got the pieces all cut and ready to sew. I'm using Moda's "Stacked Coins" pattern by Amanda Jean and planning to try some new quilting techniques on it (stippling). I'm trying to give myself plenty of time to work on it since I think there may be a bit of a learning curve. If anyone has any advice for a beginner with stippling, please send it my way!

hey i hope you get this! it's friday night 10:30 and i just realized i left your number at work!!! ahhh! i worked all night to finish quilting the zig zag quilt to show you tommorrow! anyhow i hope you get this message. If you do call me at 259-8569, see you tomorrow hopefully!
I was told to sit higher above the quilt and machine than usual and to remember to breathe! It's so true! I'm still not great at it, so I had to just deal with the fact that I'm a newbie and my first projects won't be perfect. I had practiced on small projects, but it's so much different than even a baby quilt. Check your tension before you get too far and "knot" (let your needle go up and down several times in the same spot) periodically in case you have to yank out some stitches - you won't have to go so far! Good luck!
