Aqua Quilt

 

This quilt is all 4.5" half-square triangles made from various Bonnie & Camille aqua fabrics. It feels like such a happy quilt. I wish I could have taken it to the coast for photos... isn't it just beachy?!

The backing is one of my favorite vintage sheet finds, ever! It's such a pretty print and the colors look just perfect with the aquas on the front.

I made a baby sized version of this quilt last summer and almost immediately knew I wanted a larger one to keep. I love these fabrics so much!

Red & White Triangles

 

I was inspired by @redrainbootshandmade and made my own red and white triangles quilt! 

These are 4" half-square-triangles made from assorted red fabrics by Bonnie & Camille. 

I love that it looks cute with my Christmas quilts and decor, but also will work for Valentine's Day, 4th of July, and just adding a cute pop of color year-round. 

Also... big shout out to Color Catchers who definitely saved the day! I put a very generous handful in the wash and the quilt came out perfectly with no bleeding.

Low Volume : Christmas Edition

I made another low volume and triangles quilt. Click here to see my pink version and my blue version. But this Christmas version might be my favorite yet! 

I love these low volume Christmas fabrics so much! They're from a variety of designers. And the solid triangles are a bunch of red, burgundy, light green, and dark greens. I cut my light fabrics into 5 inch squares and sewed 2.5 inch squares into the corners to make the triangles. 

I used these adorable gnome flannel sheets for the backing. So cute and so cozy!

Low Volume & Pink Triangles

I made this sweet quilt for my cousin’s new baby and I love her and this quilt so much! I got to meet her over the summer when we had a family party and I held her almost the whole time and didn’t want to share her with anybody! I looooooove newborns so much and she was extra sweet and cuddly. 

The quilt is made from a variety of 5 inch low volume prints and different shades of 2.5 inch pink solids for the little triangles. I love that it becomes a very soft and soothing I-spy quilt. 

The backing is a very soft and pretty pink floral vintage sheet. 

I was very happy I finished the quilt in time to take it camping with us before giving it away. We stay in the forest near Santa Cruz, CA every summer and it’s the perfect place to take quilt photos. 

And my sweet cousin has been sending me photos every month as baby grows and uses her quilt. 🥰

Berry Table Runner and Sweet Land of Liberty Quilt

I finished two little projects this weekend. First up is this wall hanging/baby sized quilt made with a  panel from Lella Boutique. It is approx 36" x 44". 

I also finished this little table runner. It is made using the Berry Basket line by April Rosenthal. I love these prints so much!

It wasn't the plan, but these two look very cute together and I love the patriotic and summery vibes. 

Stars Quilt

Another baby quilt complete! This is very similar to the one I made in 2015. I love these Heather Bailey fabrics. 

The binding is a pastel paisley print I found at Hobby Lobby. 

The backing is a soft green I’ve had forevvvvvvver. I’m trying to use more of what I have and stop keeping everything. 

It’s very sweet and soft and I hope baby Olivia loves it as much as I do.

Quilt #73

Quilt #73 needs a better name. But, it’s finished! Purple and turquoise chevron pattern made using half-square triangles. 

 I think some of the blue fabrics are from the Moda Spa line. Most of the rest are from Joann’s and Hobby Lobby. 

The binding is a black and white moroccan print. 

 And the backing is a B&W print from IKEA, probably about 5 years ago!

Spring Stars Quilt

 My first quilt finish in a loooooong time! A cute little star quilt made with half-square triangles.

 I quilted this in 1/2" lines. I wasn't up for free motion quilting so I decided to do something quick and easy. HA! These lines took forever - about a minute per line, which adds up to a lot of minutes!  : )  It was pretty boring to quilt (stipple quilting is much more fun), but I do really like how it turned out.

 The backing is a very soft flannel and the binding is a cute turquoise.

 The fabric is Freshcut by Heather Bailey, an old favorite.

It felt really good to finish a quilt. I'd like to do that again soon. :P
