I used the triangle scraps from my low volume swoon quilt to make this sweet little wall hanging.
It's made from the cream fabrics from various Bonnie & Camille fabric lines... my favorite.
We recently became the new home for my husband's grandparent's dining room set. It's come together nicely. The buffet and table are from his grandparents and the clock is from my grandma. I also have my other grandma's sewing machine in this room, so it's quite the connection to our grandparents in here!
I used this chicken wire board as decor and it "needed" a little wall hanging quilt. My idea is to use this board for holiday decor, but this quilt will be a nice neutral for in between.

How sweet to honor your grandparents in your home. I have done the same with some pieces that belonged to them that are absolute treasures to me, also pieces from each of our parents. My Mother did a great thing before she passed away, she labeled in inconspicuous places what certain items were, who they belonged to..it was strange to me no one wanted the mirror she kept above her kitchen desk...and no one wanted an old beautiful table she kept in her picture window with a lamp on it and an angel. I have the angel..it was Mom's, the other two pieces were made by her Uncle for her Grandmother...I was 10 when she passed, I barely knew who she was...but love her story.
I love your simple quilt, I've been wanting to make one of my scraps of tablecloths and white essex linen. I already have it packed to take to the beach with me. I'm thinking a small square in the center surrounded by white essex linen. I'm also taking a variety of gray/black essex linens and some Aboriginal prints in black to make for a niece...I will do a small triangle corner, the rest linen. i'm so looking forward to the peace and quiet there to sew sew sew.
