Alexander's Quilt
This is a quilt for my best friend's new baby boy, Alexander.
I made up the pattern by sewing strips together and then cutting them into 3 inch rows and arranging them randomly.
These cute little owls were the inspiration for the quilt... love the colors!
This green fabric I used in the quilt and for the binding is one of my favorite (ever!). Several years ago, I used this fabric as the backing to my best friend's first child's quilt. I loved the idea of using some of that same fabric in his new brother's quilt, as well as for the binding. (Fun fact: it's also one of the fabrics in my own daughter's quilt. I told you, I LOVE this fabric!).
The backing is a fun dot/stripe fabric.

Love those fabrics. Very cute quilts. So you love that green fabric, eh?
I love this quilt--the fabrics, the pattern/layout, all of it. I especially like the little feet peeking out from underneath!
