Blogger's Quilt Festival - Fall 2010

Today begins the Fall Blogger's Quilt Festival! I'm entering my Values Quilt made with Amy Butler's Love fabric line. I completed this quilt in June of this year and you can view the original post and details here.

I LOVE this fabric. The colors are so rich and the patterns are beautiful. I love it. This quilt was the first quilt that I made as a wall hanging. It decorates the focal wall in our master bedroom and I love seeing it everyday.

If you are new to my blog, welcome! My name is Jodie and I live in California. I am a mother of two children and I own a small photography business. I have been quilting for almost 4 years now - I made my first quilt for my daughter's first birthday. Since then, I have made a total of 41 quilts, with my #42 being completed in the next couple of days (I hope). I (obviously) love quilting and dabbling in other crafting, too.

Thanks for stopping by!

I like the colors too! So many saturated prints just begging to be studied. Thanks for sharing your quilt's story :)

I love the fabrics you chose for your value quilt. Very, very well done. I hope to make one for my son someday, but I'm not sure what pattern I'll choose. Thanks for the inspiration.

Wonderful value quilt! Love the large HSTs.

(I made one of these years ago but not as successfully as yours...I had too many light pastels!)

Wonderful, rich colours, - the quilt glows!
I am impressed at your quiltmaking speed, - an average of 10 quilts a year. A lot more than I am able to do :-)

That is really beautiful. I LOVE the fabrics too and like how you've arranged them, as you said, in 'values.' Nice job.

LOVE this. Pun intended!! I did a LOVE quilt for the festival too. I love the complexity of that line and how everything surprisingly goes so well together even though there is so much contrast. I really like how you used the darks and lights to create the design. Beautiful!
