
Week two of the Art Quilt class I took involved learning how to dissect a photograph or other image and assign light, medium, and dark values to show the dimension and shadows. The workbook we used had a pattern for this pear. It was extremely difficult for me to make a non-green pear. But I made myself do it and look! It's a blue pear!

I haven't finished the pear art quilt. I'm actually not sure that I will, but I like the technique and have already used it for some other projects (more on that coming soon).
