I forgot to post these photos! When my kids schools were closed due to corona virus, we had a couple of weeks of "homeschool" where we were on our own for curriculum. I had them to math and reading every day, and I also took the opportunity to teach them a little about quilting. Truth be told, neither one was interested. But I did give them some charm squares and had them "design" a quilt.
I did the sewing and finished the quilts. Once the virus lockdowns pass, I am planning on donating both quilts to the sheriff's department or CHP to give to children who are in distress.
If you're interested, I wrote a longer post about teaching kids to quilt. My daughter was 6 1/2 and made her first quilt. Proud mama!
